Introduction to Bromo Ijen Sukamade 3D2N
The package commences from either Surabaya or Malang at midnight, allowing for the appreciation of the morning scenery, including the crater of Mount Bromo, the mesmerizing blue fire phenomenon within the crater of Mount Ijen, and an exhilarating expedition in the Meru Betiri nature reserve to witness turtle nesting activities. - 09.00am ETD to homestay in Sukamade (Meru Betiri Nature Reserve) by 4WD (lunch on the way); during the trip, visit coffee, rubber, and cocoa plantations, Rajeg Wesi, and Green Bay beach

Mount Bromo
Bromo is an active volcano in East Java, Indonesia, located in the Tengger Mountains. It is not the highest summit in the massif, standing at 2,329 meters (7,641 feet), but it is the most well-known. The area is one of East Java’s most famous tourist sites, and the volcano is part of the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park. Bromo is a Javanese pronunciation of Brahma, the Hindu god of creation. Mount Bromo is located in the “Sea of Sand” environmental reserve, Mount Bromo has erupted several times, the most recent in 2010.
Ijen crater
The Ijen volcano complex is a group of composite volcanoes in East Java, Indonesia, near the Banyuwangi and Bondowoso regencies. It is notable for its blue fire, acidic crater lake, and laborious sulfur mining.
The Ijen volcano, located west of Gunung Merapi, has a turquoise-colored acidic crater lake one kilometer (0.62 miles) wide. The lake is the site of a labor-intensive sulfur mining operation, in which sulfur-laden baskets are carried from the crater floor by hand. The work is well compensated in comparison to the cost of living in the area, but it is physically demanding. Workers earn about US$13 per day and must transport sulfur chunks three kilometers to the nearby Paluding Valley to be compensated.
Sukamade
Sukamade beach is roughly 97 kilometers southwest of Banyuwangi. It is a beautiful, tranquil, natural setting that is part of the 50,000-hectare Meru Betiri National Park. Turtles lay eggs on Sukamade beach nearly every night of the year. Because the site is obviously of global importance, the overworked park rangers protect it 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
The turtle population's stability has been aided by a system of careful tagging and monitoring, as well as the use of special hatcheries. On a moonlit night, watching these massive creatures emerge from the surf and struggle up the beach to lay their eggs is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that will ensure Sukamade's continued prominence. This is off the beaten path and takes some effort to get to, but it is well worth it.
The rangers take some eggs to protect them from human and animal predators. The eggs are incubated in the park's hatchery before being released into the sea from the same beach where they were laid. There are other beaches within the park's boundaries that are comparable, but the turtles appear to prefer Sukamade.

- Don't bring property/jewelry made of gold, silver, copper because it will be oxidized/contaminated by sulfur
Sukamade

- Power sources are very limited and mobile phones network will not work
- Bring lotion to protect against mosquito or insect bites
